Minnesota State University, Mankato is proud to host the 2010 Southern Minnesota TRiO Day on Saturday, February 20th. Our theme this year is “Race to Success – Turning Roadblocks into Opportunities”. We sincerely hope that you will consider bringing students to participate in this exciting event!
Our featured speaker is a friend of TRiO who has been active in public speaking and training for over 15 years. Carl Olson draws upon over 36 years of experience as an educator, coach and advisor as he delivers his entertaining and informative message. He is familiar with TRiO and has presented at numerous TRiO program events, state TRiO conferences and regional TRiO conferences. Carl will be offering a keynote address as well as 3 workshops specifically designed for our students. More information on Carl Olson is available at: http://energizerolson.com/.
Our lead time is relatively short, so your prompt response will facilitate the preparations for TRiO Day. Enclosed you will find a Registration form, a tentative agenda, a Call for Proposals, a flyer about the food drive, and local hotel information. Directions and check-in information will be sent with your registration confirmation. Hotels might fill quickly as there is a basketball tournament in town that same weekend, so we encourage you to call soon to make reservations.
